AW/18 The Winter Style Guide
As the mornings become darker and the sun begins to set at what seems like lunchtime, it can be a struggle to get out of bed. Especially when it’s cold and pouring with rain outside.
As gloomy as it may seem, here at Parka London, we love the winter! As the saying goes ‘there’s no such thing as bad weather- just bad clothing, and we truly believe that. As long as you adapt to the elements, there’s no reason you can’t enjoy the coming season.
Our AW/18 collection focuses on unifying practicality and aesthetic. We’ve got pieces to cover all bases. From transitional gilets and faux fur jackets for autumn to padded puffas and insulated parkas for the winter, you’ll be prepared for all eventualities.
An incredible amount of hard work and time goes into designing every collection we create. From the initial sketch to manufacturing the final garments, each season starts with inspiration.
We design our garments to be worn season after season, year after year and our AW/18 collection is no exception. It offers an original take on the utilitarian style, focusing on modern functionality, with consideration for style and contemporary living. Featuring an autumnal colour palette, it is an unapologetic ode to the beauty of British and urban natural landscapes.
Inspired by this need for practicality in today’s lifestyle, our designers have playfully worked in details for any need; concealed inner pockets, removable linings, reversible designs and luxurious detachable faux fur trims, as well as the highest quality resilient fabrics to stand the test of time.
This season we really wanted to celebrate our British heritage. This led us to create our Made in England range which sits neatly within our AW/18 Collection. Consisting of a trio of coats manufactured in our origins of East London, all beautifully tailored and made from high-quality fabrics.
Our Pea Coat, Bridge coat and London Mac are all timeless pieces, ready to elevate any man’s wardrobe.
Get Winter Ready
You’ve read about the new collection, so let us introduce you to the coats! Let’s get to know some of the key styles for this season.
Our Stormont is a key piece for the depths of winter. Designed with functionality in mind, we’ve created this parka in water and cold resistant materials, but we haven’t forgotten about style along the way. In a nod to our original 1950’s parka, the military green is a classic colour which we’ve teamed with a contrasting orange lining for a pop of colour.
Luxuriously soft faux fur, plus leopard print, equals the perfect autumn jacket. We’ve designed the Balina in a beautiful golden yellow that’s sure to stop the winter blues in their tracks. This cropped style will turn heads for seasons to come. If you prefer a longer length, take a look at our cosy Isabella coat.
Looking for a coat that will compliment everything in your wardrobe? Our Aria monochrome parka is a neutral transitional piece. Wear as is for the autumn, then add a jumper underneath for the winter season. With water resistant protection too, Aria ticks all the boxes. If black isn’t for you, then this style is also available in moss green and ivory.
Our premium coat from our AW18 range, our Denzel has been created for those bitter winter days. In the perfect shade of red, insulated with down and featuring a faux fur trim on the hood, this style is designed for warmth. Denzel is also available in black and rust with PrimaLoft insulation instead of down.
A borg jacket is the must have piece for the winter season. Stylish and effortless, our Elijah jacket can be worn day or night, smart or casual, open or closed. It’s a versatile piece that your wardrobe will love. We’ve designed it with a quilted lining and ribbed neck and cuffs for added warmth.
Whether you enjoy city strolls or country walks and you like to spend winter outdoors then our Ford mid- weight jacket is perfect for you. Water resistant and cold weather proof, it will protect you from those unexpected downpours without being overly heavy. Available in camo print or a neutral navy, it’s a great piece for this season.
