We are so lucky to be based in the vibrant and busy area of Kentish Town. With so much to do and see, lunchbreaks are never dull at Parka London! We’ve compiled a guide to our favourite spots for food, drink and entertainment, all tried and tested by us. So whether you work here, live nearby or are just visiting, we’ve got plenty of suggestions for things to do.

The Pineapple, Leverton Street
The Pineapple pub is a firm favourite here at the office. A grade two listed building set away from the main high street, it serves great lunchtime grub. Catering for vegans and meat- eaters alike, The Pineapple offers simple and tasty Thai dishes for just a fiver to fuel you through the afternoon. If you’re lucky, the pub cat might say 'hi' too!

Delicious by Franco, Kentish Town Road
If you love pizza (who doesn’t?) then Delicious by Franco is a must- visit. This tiny restaurant might not look like much from the outside, but don’t pass it by. Family run and offering authentic Italian food, it’s a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner. From seafood pasta dishes to vegan pizza, it’s a welcoming and snug establishment.

The Vine, Highgate Road
If you are looking for a place for work drinks or an oasis after a Sunday stroll, then head to The Vine; a warm and welcoming Edwardian gastro pub with a generous terrace area, perfect for summer drinks and a cosy interior for the colder months. As well as top class ales, they also serve traditional British food daily with plenty of veggie and vegan options and a delicious roast on a Sunday. It’s the perfect place for any day of the week.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Highgate Road
Formerly a Victorian public toilet, Ladies and Gentlemen is a place you’re more likely to find if you are looking to spend a penny rather than have a drink. This moodily lit cocktail bar is an atmospheric, fun experience. The drinks are on the affordable side (around £8-£9) and are distilled behind the bar using locally sourced ingredients. We love the concept and we think you will too.

Earth Natural Foods, Highgate Road
Being a small brand ourselves, here at Parka, we are all about shopping locally and supporting independent businesses. Earth Natural Foods is a fantastic organic, vegetarian supermarket if you need to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a cheeky treat! Every day they offer fresh salads, cakes and breads as well as household and kitchen essentials.

Jessica De Lotz Jewellery, Fortess Road
Kentish Town is full of style, so it’s no surprise to find Jessica de Lotzs’ Jewellery shop here. Jessica’s designs are intriguing and evocative, nostalgic and eccentric and absolutely beautiful. Each piece is hand crafted by the lady herself in her characteristic vintage flair, so why not pop by and take a look. Custom pieces are also available if you are after something unique to you.

DNA VR Gaming, York Way
Looking to try something new? How about immersing yourself in the world of virtual reality gaming? Hidden behind a rather inconspicuous door on York Way is the latest in gaming technology. It doesn’t matter if you’re an avid gamer or have never picked up a controller in your life, this is a fun experience for all. Shoot zombies, fly through space or paint a picture; there’s plenty of entertaining games to choose from.

Mission Breakout, Kentish Town Road
Ever fancied yourself as a sleuth? Mission Breakout will put your problem solving skills to the test. Great fun to do with a group of friends or your work colleagues, you will all need to put your thinking caps on if you are going to make it out before time is up! Located in a disused tube station, choose from two games that will prove your ability to work as a team and solve testing puzzles.
