The tomboy style isn’t something you can learn or really explain. It starts from within the soul. Tomboy is an attitude – it’s not just a fashion choice.
Some of our tomboy icons include the likes of Kate Moss, Kate Bush, half-sisters Lou Doillon and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Here are a few style tips we have picked up from our tomboy icons who all play by their own rules.
Tomboy Style Essential: The White Shirt
The white shirt is a tomboy style essential piece. It gives a look a touch of elegance with a clean, crisp and slightly oversized white shirt, tuck some of it in or wear untucked for a classy casual look.
You can keep it simple and easy with a timeless classic - the breton stripe top. You can always fall back on when everything else just isn’t cutting it for the day.

Keep it relaxed and casual putting comfort over being formal with a great pair of canvas pumps, a cosy oversized jersey or accessorise with a suitable piece of headgear.
